Internationalisation Experience
The objectives of Trip of Internationalisation Experience (TIE) are to:
-
deepen our students 21st Century Competencies (21CC) of global and cross-cultural literacy and sensitivities through:
-
Helping students to understand the histories, cultures, languages, and economies of Asia, in particular ASEAN, and these countries' interconnections with Singapore.
-
-
expose students to Asia with a greater focus on ASEAN countries, China and India, and sensitise them to Singapore and its place in the world.
-
strengthen students' commitment and rootedness to Singapore; and
-
facilitate the acquisition of life skills and interaction between our students and students of another countries.
Engaging with global and cultural sensitivities through school visits and cultural experiences is an enriching endeavor that had profoundly impacted students' perspectives. During this trip, students had an enriching cultural immersion aimed at fostering cultural understanding while strengthening bonds with Singapore as they share our traditional games with their peers in the neighbouring countries. The city tour deepened appreciation for culture and history of our neighbouring countries. These experiences broadened horizons, facilitated self-discovery, and foster a more inclusive and globally aware learning environment, nurturing students' abilities to navigate diverse perspectives and contribute positively to a multicultural society.
